Founder Stacey Smith has worked in the drug and alcohol field for eleven years in education and treatment as well as providing training to professionals including Drug Workers, Police Officers, Social Workers, Teachers and anyone that needs to know about such things across all tier levels. During her time as Training Officer for Birmingham Drug and Alcohol Action Team she wrote the Drugs, Alcohol, Resources & Treatment (DART) Guide which has been disseminated to staff across Birmingham and has also been developed into an E-Learning Package.

My passion is helping people of all ages to understand the use of drugs including alcohol to encourage informed healthy choices as well as promoting empathy and support for those experiencing difficulties across all agencies in the community. I am an advocate of harm reduction, service user involvement and supporting volunteers and I especially enjoy challenging stigma and discriminatory views.
My own views around drug policy have developed over time and is something that I can rarely be quiet about. Social media in the field is becoming more and more crucial and I am glad to be a part of it for new contacts, ideas and opportunities.
I am an Advanced EFT Practitioner and work with individuals and groups to enhance emotional well-being on a range of issues and as part of Inspire Health and Mind have set up EFT for Recovery as a CIC to support people’s recovery from dependency.
