Drug education is part of the PSHE curriculum and features in youth strategies to support the Every Child Matters outcomes ‘Be Healthy’ and ‘Stay Safe’. Sessions can be tailored for all young people, including those with more complex needs who may be more at risk of drug & alcohol misuse &/or offending behaviour.
We facilitate sessions which allow young people to:
- Be better prepared to make informed choices which will keep them healthier and safer.
- Understand the wider behavioural and social consequences of misuse.
- Have an opportunity to discuss the issues, ask questions and have common myths dispelled.
We offer both group and one to one sessions for young people who may already be experiencing problems or are at risk due to their use of Drugs including Alcohol. We focus on those who may need a tier 1/2 level of intervention and will advise referral onto tier 3 treatment if necessary.
Other drug specific sessions and bespoke longer term projects on request.
We also offer sessions to support the emotional well- being of young people which you can read all about here.
