Supporting People Affected By Substance Use Course

We are pleased to introduce a new structured training programme for Tier 1 workers  including:

Social Workers, Community Nurses, Health Visitors, Support Staff, Family Workers, Police & Probation Officers, Housing Staff & those who are new to the drugs and alcohol field.

‘Supporting People Affected by Substance Misuse’

The programme provides the knowledge and understanding necessary to engage safely and effectively with people affected by substance use along with skills development to enable application to practice in Tier 1 roles.

Please see here for the programme flyer which provide you with essential information.

The training is delivered over ten days which can be spread over several months to avoid disruption to service delivery. This offers a complete and cohesive training package, putting substance use and the associated issues into context, rather than participants attending training on a piecemeal basis and failing to make the links between issues.

We are inviting nominations from organisations who wish their staff to benefit from the ten day programme, a great way to share professional experience and improve knowlege and skills.

*Components of the course can also be booked as stand alone sessions on request*

Training costs and payment procedure can be found in the Programme Description which we will send to those who express their interest.
